1. Organize the boxes

It may seem logical, but preparing the boxes will play an essential role in moving into your future home. After sorting through your belongings, you can organize your boxes according to the usefulness of the objects they contain. You can, for example, divide your boxes by type of object: a box for dishes, a box for books, a box for shoes… But above all, don’t forget to include the room in it. which the box must be deposited. This will save you time once you get there. Last thing: remember to move the bulkiest furniture first before bringing in boxes and other small bags.

2. Do the work before moving in

Whether you are moving in following a purchase or rental, we strongly advise you to carry out your work in advance! 5. Choose your home insurance wisely

When you move into a new home, you absolutely must go through this step. Home insurance must be taken out on the day of moving in in order to benefit from coverage upon your arrival. You must therefore notify your insurer of your change of address. The latter will be able to assess the risks (location, presence of a cellar, number of rooms, etc.) to be insured and determine if your current contract can correspond or if it should evolve. 6. Think about gas, electricity and water

Before leaving your current home, you must terminate your energy supply contracts. Take the opportunity to announce your move and benefit from a contract for your new home.
